Anybody else scrimmage yesterday? I know Kelly's starters won 6-3 over Pikeville yesterday, and I was thinking that Norton had their first scrimmage yesterday against Patrick Henry.

Didnt run the scoreboard but Im thinking when I left the score was like 6-1 in favor of Castlewood. Castlewood is a as solid defensive and fundamental club that there is SWVA. Pitching might possiably be a problem for them however. As for Clintwood, we should be much improved, Im not going to make any predictions, but we have some talent to choose from on the team and a pretty good coach with a lot of enthusiasm.

Haysi played Rye Cove Saturday...I think the score was 7-2 Haysi Jones hit a bomb and pitched two innings. Haysi looked alright defensivly and Rye Cove looked decent in the field. Both teams were a lil under par with the bats though

    Re: Clintwood-Coeburn baseball

Haysi stung the ball pretty well with the top half or their order. RC's bats were no where near where they need to be, but it is early. Hopefully their contact will get better very shortly.
